As to Maruyama's "Landscape", we must pay attention to the flow of time.

He has been sticking to earth where human beings inhabit, which is time of "Landscape" which cannot help having tense bearing on human body psychologically. He reconstructs his show from the soil that doesn't change visibly and the artificially changed remarkably, which are gathered up in the range of the field. The wastes he calls "memory chips", are contrasted with the element soil that gives birth to a life and turns it into nothing, and show us the "Landscape".
Maruyama's performance expresses a "Landscape", mentioned above, by means of information that is the surface of routine. The scene that scattered with some kinds of informative magazines or newspapers like noises and gets them into earth is our very life, isn't it?
